Full Itinerary - Rocky Mountain Fly Drive Holiday

DAY 1 UK/ Denver

Depart the UK on your chosen scheduled flight to Denver. Upon arrival, we suggest that after an 8 hour flight you transfer to your hotel by taxi and spend the first evening relaxing. If you do decide to venture out Denver is a very walk able city with plenty of sightseeing and shopping in downtown district.

DAYS 2 & 3 Explore Denver

Collect your rental car from the downtown location and enjoy two whole days exploring Denver and the surrounding region. Estes Park is just 60 miles northwest of Denver and offers some of the most spectacular Colorado scenery you will find. Take a carriage ride through Larimar Square, visit the Denver Zoo or take a tour of the U.S. Mint.

DAY 4 Denver / Beaver Creek

Driving Distance: 107 miles

Today head directly west along Interstate 70 to Beaver Creek, your journey will take you deep into the heart of the Colorado Rockies, and from your base in Beaver Creek, there are endless options available for you. This fabulous year round resort nestling in the heart of the Vail Valley offers all year round outdoor activities and a range of informal restaurants and bars to cater to every taste.

DAY 5 & 6 Explore Beaver Creek

The area of Beaver Creek is spectacular for such activities as hiking, cycling, fly fishing, championship golf and tennis and even white water rafting. In the winter months Beaver Creek is a superb ski and snowboarding resort with over 140 ski trails for every level of skier whilst in the summer the world class spa’s, outdoor swimming pools and steaming whirlpools tempt you to relax after a full day of enjoyment in the great outdoors.

DAY 7 Beaver Creek/Aspen

Driving Distance: 96 miles

From Beaver Creek continue west on Interstate 70 to Glenwood Springs then south on Route 82 to the chic town of Aspen. Famous for its skiing and its nightlife and favoured by the rich and famous Aspen has become the cultural capital of Colorado.

DAY 8 Explore Aspen

There's something for everyone in Aspen, from challenging ski slopes to wine tasting and opera, from hot dog carts to haute cuisine. Enjoy the mountain lifestyle in Aspen with its sporting activities or just relax in the clean, fresh country environment. Aspen is consistently rated one of the world's top ski areas but summer and fall are prime times to visit, the nearby Maroon Bells offer excellent hiking with breathtaking views; wildflowers go wild in the alpine meadows. Autumn brings a floorshow of golden aspens.

DAY 9 Aspen/Colorado Springs

Driving Distance: 156 miles

Heading east, today’s journey will weave through the Rockies, along Independence Pass and alongside Mount Elbut, Colorado’s highest point, to Colorado Springs. Although many towns and cities in Colorado were settled by miners and ranchers, Colorado Springs' appeal was climate and culture.
