| California is an ideal destination for a family holiday, flights are direct from the UK, the climate is warm and dry from April to late September and the choice of locations and accommodation is in abundance - no wonder its popular For this family holiday we've combined the walkable and cosmpolitan city of San Francisco as a base for the first 3 nights, just enough time to see the city and enjoy on or two of the excursions before the 3 hour drive to Lake Tahoe. This little known area is a place of beauty in the summer where crystal blue water laps miles upon miles of soft sandy beaches ideal for swimming or sunbathing and the water beckons with powerboats, canoes, sailboats. Yosemite National Park is next on the agenda, a 3 hour leisurely drive brings you to this magnificent park, best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and lots of wildlife. Complete your family holiday by the sea in either Carmel or Monterey, both pretty villages 3 hours drive from Yosemite NP and 2 hours south of San Francisco. Monterey & Carmel highlight everything that's best about California, seaside restaurants, hillside vineyards, redwood groves to Pebble, perfectly groomed golf courses, music and art festivals and a warm hospitality. |

This has to be one of the most popular family holidays to America we find ourselves arranging year after year. or no other reason than driving south from San Francisco to San Diego ensures your car is on the coast rather than looking across traffic we recommend you start the holiday and base yourselves here for the first 3 or 4 days to give you enough time to see all the attractions. Now begin's the magnificent drive south down Pacific Highway 1 through Carmel, Big Sur following the infamous rugged coast line until you arrive at the pretty coastal town of Pismo Beach, this is a great beach location ideally placed for exploring this middle area ofthe Coastal route, Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispbo and the surrounding wineyards, this is a very relaxed drive before you head south to Los Angeles. This captivating city is large with lots on offer, 4 days will be enought o give you a flavour of the city and enjoy one or two of the theme parks before driving 2 hours south to San Diego. The attraction here is San Diego's 120 kilometres of coastline and reliably sunny weather, the city is also home to museums, a world-renowned zoo, theme parks, famous golf courses, and a lively theatre scene, as well as great food, shopping and nightlife in the historic downtown quarter. |

Boston’s water side location and relaxed pace makes it the ideal starting point for a family holiday. Regular direct flights from the UK cut down on the travelling time whilst the location affords you the opportunity to explore the beauty of the East coast. Boston has enough to keep you busy for a week or more but for this itinerary we suggest 3 or 4 nights to give you enough time to take in the highlights. After a leisurely 2 1/2 hour drive into the country side arrive at Meredith in the heart of the lake district and gateway to the white mountains, the area offers all the outdoor pursuits you could wish for from swimming to canoeing and hiking or cycling to horseriding in a picture postcard setting. To end the holiday drive South East to Cape Cod. The Bay area is home to a variety of small fishing villages, beautiful beaches and exclusive chic towns and all within close proximity to one another making the Bay area an ideal base to spend the week relaxing on the beach, sailing, swimming or cycling. If you have the time tag on a few days in the stylish relaxed town of New Port, on Rhode Island,or cross to one of the small island off the coast of Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket. |

| Florida has long been an aatractive family destination and whilst Orlando and the theme parks are a must see for many families Florida has so much more to offer. In this family holiday we've suggested you spend the first week in orlando taking advantage of the direct flights from the UK and opt to stay in a Florida home with a private pool to give you the space a family needs to relax after a day at the parks. The homes are all 5 to 10 minutes drive from Disney and the theme parks and come with a BBQs so its possible to self cater as well frequent the Amercian diners! To slow the pace a little drive south to Miami Beach and spend a few days in this historic art deco city,the outdoor cafe culture and bustling nightlife in South Beach is something not to be missed but a few nights here is long enough to experience the vibe before driving an hour 1 1/2 south to the Florida Keys. These beautiful little islands offer a realxed beach holiday experience, soft sand, resort style hotels, beautiful weather and abundance of water sports. Something to please everyone.

The states of Colorado, Utah and Arizona have a lot to offer and if you're a family who like are looking for variety and something off the beaten track and eye opening then this holiday is the one for you. Start the holiday by taking the direct flight into Denver a fabulous busy and bustling chic city, after a day or two here drive out in to the lush green mountains heading for Vail, the air is fresh, sun warm and activities plentiful. After a few days of fresh mountain air its time for a change of scenery. 3 hours south you arrive into real cowboy country and the red rock desert of Moab in Utah. The Sorrel River Ranch is a luxury resort alomst in the middle of nowhere that offers a different type of activity and fantastic experien. Visit the surrounding national parks of The Grand Canyon, Monument Valley and Lake Powell, go white water rafting on the Colorado River, horse riding across the desert or simply relax by the pool or enjoy the spa and the ambience. To end the holiday on a high its time to drive further south into Arizona through Monument Valley to the pretty oasis that is Scottsdale.
